It looks like Verizon is having problems keeping up with all of the Droid X orders. Not only has the delivery date for new orders been pushed back to July 23rd, but current orders aren’t being shipped out on time either. Many customers have vented on Droid Forums how their on-time orders are not being shipped, even those that have paid for overnight shipping. Is this just a system backlog, or is Verizon having bigger inventory issues than originally thought?

UPDATE: Although the Verizon stores are out of stock, it seems that many WalMart stores have units in stock. I went to my local WalMart yesterday at 4:30pm and saw at least 5 units in stock.
